Meet The Face Behind Parlato’s Catering
I’m Sonia Parlato, the proud owner of Parlato’s Catering.
I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
I grew up on the beautiful Island of Capri, watching my dear grandmother, Emma cook up a storm in the kitchen. She would mix fresh ingredients and aromatic herbs to create appetizing Italian cuisine that would satiate our family’s taste buds.
Her passion inspired me to work hard as I started my career in the hospitality industry. I gained twelve years of rich experience with a Dominican American bar and restaurant called Mojito Bar Cabarete.
However, my desire was always to open up a catering and event planning enterprise to promote my Island Capri culinary culture. So, after settling down in Canada, I got my dream project up and running.
In just eighteen months, I’ve managed to establish myself, and the business is proliferating. I’m serving up mouth-watering authentic delights that follow my grandmother’s traditional recipes, and all the dishes are made with love and careful attention.
I present my gourmet specialties with versatility, and as an individual, I believe what sets me apart from the others is my professional ethics as I’m customer focused and treat guests like family, by providing a warm and attentive service. The respect that I show to people has contributed to my accomplishments, and I’m on a first-name basis with my customers.
It’s hard to believe how far I’ve come in such a short span of time. I can fondly remember back to the first message I received from a happy customer informing me that he found the food delectable and the service friendly, and was looking forward to having me cater for another event.
After reading the note, I felt fulfilled as it was the moment when I knew that I made the right decision to get into the catering field. I truly love what I’m doing, and I will never stop, even If I were to win a billion dollars playing the lottery tomorrow.
I’m eager for success as I endeavor to give back substantial proceeds to humanitarian projects. I currently work with an organization in the Dominican Republic that wants to eliminate hunger in the region, and I’m ambitious that our blueprint can get replicated in other parts of the world.
When I am not serving up delicious dishes in the kitchen, I love spending quality time with family, although I don’t get much time to pursue hobbies as the job is non-stop.
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
